Chief Brett Sipes |
Chief Brett Sipes began his career with the Dyersburg Fire Department on August 28, 1995 as a firefighter. He was promoted to Driver in 2003, Lieutenant in 2009, Shift Captain in 2014 and then to Fire Chief in 2018. Chief Sipes received many certifications from the Tennessee Commission on Fire Fighting, some of which include Firefighter I and II, Pumper Driver Operator, Aerial Apparatus Operator, Instructor I and II, Fire Officer I and II, and Incident Safety Officer.
He has served as past board member of the Dyersburg/Dyer County Dixie Youth Baseball as well as volunteer coach for softball, baseball, basketball, football and soccer and an assistant softball coach for Northview Middle School. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Newbern. Chief Sipes has been married for 22 years to Tami (Montgomery) Sipes and is a dedicated father of 4 children: Hunter, Hailey, Emilee and Easton.
