Deputy Chief Rusty Blalock began his career at the Dyersburg Fire Department in 1981. During the past 30+ years, he has served as a Fire Fighter/EMT, Driver Operator and Lieutenant. In his role as Deputy Chief, he assists in the planning, directing and organizing of all work within the operational and administrative divisions of the Dyersburg Fire Department. He completes numerous administrative functions for the Fire Chief and the department as a whole. Responsibilities include supervision of staff, assisting in budget preparation, arranging station and equipment repair/testing and maintaining a library of Fire Service Technical Data and information. He also assumes Command of the Department in the absence of the Chief. |
